Electron spin resonance (ESR) technique was used to estimate the irradiation dose to tooth enamel samples one each from 11 residents near Chernobyl reactor. The results showed that the doses to 8 samples were estimated to be less than l0cGy and the other 3 samples had an assessed radiation dose of 30—60cGy. Some practical problems in analyses of the results are also discussed in this paper.
